If you’re looking to having a long term online business, then building your list is one of the best things you can do. A list is a business asset and not simply the sending of traffic once to your sales letter.
Once they’re on your list, you need to then create and grow a relationship with them, so you will continue to have your emails opened. Trusting you and believing you have something positive to help them, means they’ll be looking forward to receiving and opening them. You want to ensure that they continue to choose to be on your list for as long as possible.
Here are 3 tips.
First, have more than one list and make sure any specific person is added to the list relevant to their interest. For example, if they’d been searching for “garden pool goldfish” and arrived at your opt in page for koi carp, it would be the wrong list for them. Your keyword for each opt in page must be about the list of that keyword. So, it does not matter how many lists you have. When you have your emails set up in your autoresponder for that list it need not cost you any more work or time.
Second, find out what the people on a list want from you, and make them those offers.
Third, have a natural style for your emails so you will grow the relationship with the list. Talk to them as individuals and not just as a list of names.
